From the Winery

When the quantity and quality of a given vintage permit, we will highlight specific portions of the vineyard with special bottlings. Octagon is our oldest special bottling, named for the vineyard surrounding The Octagon, an eight-sided house Tom Dehlinger built in the 1970s.

2018 Dehlinger Octagon Pinot Noir
$65
14.5% Alcohol

This wine is gorgeous in every way.

50% opaque, brilliant ruby with a hint of magenta on the edges.

Leaps from the glass aromatically with notes of strawberry preserves, briar patch, and appealing fresh fruit.

The flavor profile conveys on the palate with confidence. Substantial weight given its semi-transparent appearance. Hefty, yet silky mouthfeel with just a hint of silty tannin. Long, satisfying finish.

Not an off note in the bottle
So well balanced in every way.

It doesn't get much better than this.
A classic California Pinot Noir.

97/100 WWP: Classic

Their spring release is coming next week and needless to say: I. Am. A. Buyer.
